Eduardo Frias - Piano

Biography

Eduardo Frias Ciriza, was born in Madrid in 1987 and trained as a classical pianist at the Royal Conservatory of Madrid under the tutelage of Elena Orobio.

Finalist in the prestigious XXXIII piano competition in Albacete, Spain in 2013 he also won second prize in the Reus Chamber music competition (2010) and winning various first prizes in the Hazen “Angel Arias Macein” Conservatory competitions (2003- 2006).

He has performed concerts internationally in cities such as Rio de Janeiro, Belo Horizonte, Nancy, Madrid, San Sebastián, León, Lugo, Barcelona, Segovia and Recent/ Future engagements include an invitation to the PianoFest in Belo Horizonte and a recital at the Cervantes in Rio de Janeiro, as well as a recital at St James Church Picadilly in November 2014 (organised by Talent Unlimited) and various dates in Madrid.

He has worked with the following teachers: Huseyin Sermet, Cristina Ortiz, Pascal Nemirosvski, Bruno Canino, Mirabela Dina, Alexander Jenner, Paul Badura Skoda, Josep Colom, Ana Guijarro, Peter Bithell, Joaquín Soriano, Gustavo Díaz Jerez, Ralf Natkemper among others.

His repertoire covers composers from Bach to Boulez, passing through Haydn, Mozart, Beethoven, Schubert, Schumann, Mendelsonn, Liszt, Chopin, Debussy, Villa Lobos, Rachmaninov, Granados, Albeniz as well as the lesser known Latin American or Iberian composers.

Eduardo is also an active part of a project which supports young talent in Madrid - Music above the park www.musicabovethepark.com.
