Irina Loskova

Biography

Irina Loskova (Soprano) has recently graduated from the Royal Academy Opera Course in London, where she studied with Elizabeth Ritchie and Mary Hill.

After completing her Master’s degree in Linguistics and Translations in Russia, Irina later moved to the UK, where she was awarded a scholarship to a Postgraduate course in Performance at the Royal Northern College of Music (RNCM) in Manchester with Robert Alderson.

Irina’s engagements included chorus in Glyndebourne Festival Opera and Glyndebourne on Tour 2011, Vivaldi’s Gloria, Monteverdi’s Vespers, Bruckner’s Mass in D Minor, recital performances at St.Martin-in-the-Fields, St James’s Piccadilly, Rhosygilwen, Cardigan Guildhall, The Grand Duke's Official 2013 birthday in Luxembourg and roles of Hermia and Hippolyta in The Yorke Trust production of Midsummer Night’s Dream.

Irina’s performed with Royal Academy Opera as Olga – Eugene Onegin (conductor Jane Glover), The Squirrel – L’enfant et les sortilèges (Barbican, BBC Symphony Orchestra, conductor Stéphane Denève), Charlotte – Werther (conductor Julian Reynolds), Dorothée – Cendrillon (conductor Gareth Hancock), Second Witch – Dido and Aeneas (conductor Iain Ledingham), Female Chorus (Cover) – Rape of Lucretia (conductor Steuart Bedford).
