Biography
Arın Aykut is a Turkish pianist, conductor, and composer-producer. He began his music education in 2000 with the support of his father Tamer AYKUT, a renowned soloist singer of the Ankara State Opera and Ballet Theatre. He passed the entrance examinations for the piano faculty of the Ankara State Conservatory at Hacettepe University and his formal music education began at age of 11. While still continuing his education with Öznür Orbay, Menekşe Akar, Anatol Jagoda, and Sanem Berkalp, he gave many solo & chamber music concerts. In August 2012 he took the post of pianist in the “Art Without Limits” orchestra project that was organized in Germany and gave a concert in Würzburg Palace.
In April 2013 he participated in the “The World Pianist Invitational” piano competition organized in the United States, and has qualified for the finals among 2,500 other competitors, he won the right to perform in one of the most important American concert halls - “The John F. Kennedy Centre for the Performing Arts” during the final stages of the competition. During the 2013-2014 Academic Year he continued his Piano, Chamber Music, and Central European Music education at the Academy of Performing Arts (HAMU) in Prague, Czech Republic. Moreover, during his stay in Prague, he gave many recitals and chamber music concerts. In June 2014, he graduated with honours degree from the Piano Faculty of the Ankara State Conservatory at the Hacettepe University. In January 2015 he was a member of the Jury at the National Piano Competition organized in Ankara by the Sevda Cenap And Music Foundation. During the period between 2015 and 2017, Arın Aykut involved himself with giving piano recitals, chamber music concerts, as well as piano classes at his own music academy in Ankara.
In January 2017 he was admitted for master’s studies at the orchestral conducting faculty of the Hacettepe University Ankara State Conservatory and began studies under the artistic guidance of Prof. Burak Tüzün and Prof. Rengim Gökmen. He studied for an academic year at the Orchestra and Opera Conducting Faculty of the Frederic Chopin University of Music in Warsaw under the guidance of Prof. Szymon Kawalla and he had the opportunity to conduct the National Polish Radio Symphonic Orchestra. When he returned to Turkey, he conducted the State Polyphonic Choir and gave a concert at the Presidential Symphony Orchestra Stage, also he conducted Hacettepe University Academic Orchestra and graduated with high honors degree from the orchestral conducting master’s program.
Apart from his music performer life, he has been composing and producing music for film, TV, theatre, cartoons, and commercials since 2013. With the music he composed, he won awards such as Goethe Institute, Cinema-Dance Film Festival, “Audience Award”, “Best Composer” award from the Art Institution Association, Shazam Turkey “Most Searched Music” and Spotify Turkey “Viral 50”.
Arın Aykut continues his career as a pianist, conductor, and composer in London and also doing his second master’s degree at the University of West London: Composition for Film & TV with the support of Talent Unlimited and other valuable sponsors since 2022.
